MOD Abbey Wood – N3 Atrium

We have worked at MOD Abbey Wood within high security zones for almost 10 years. Over this period our service range and role has evolved from façade maintenance to site-wide roof, gutter and glazing atrium maintenance as well as large specialist projects such as bridge refurbishment.

We have a team on site throughout the year working on various surveying, maintenance and repair projects. Our team is fully security cleared and able to work all over site, delivering both planned and reactive projects for the client.
Our on site team presence and experience ensures compliance, non-intrusive, adaptive working and effective safe working practices for the broad range of specialist building envelope services we are asked to deliver.

One of our latest projects involves the internal high level pipe replacement by abseiling at night and the full refurbishment of the surrounding stairwell that had been damaged by leaking downpipes. Use of our specialist leak detection methods enabled us to first establish the root cause of the leaks and a fuller picture of how they had affected the integrity of the surrounding areas.

With a sensitive, pre-planned approach, we were able to create a programme for the client that allowed us to carry out the work without causing disruption to the day-to-day workings of such a high security premises.

The removal and subsequent replacement of the leaking downpipes was then followed by a full refurbishment of the stairwell.
